DECISION THEATER 1
Election Year Decisions:
What Guides Them?

During your tour of the Presidential Galleries, you will encounter two distinct and unusual mini-theaters. These theaters, titled "Decision Theaters," will feature audiovisual productions that focus on key decisions President Truman made during his presidency. These productions will draw you into the drama and complexity surrounding important presidential decisions. Each theater encourages interaction.

Decision Theater 1The first decision theater program will appear in the midst of the exhibits on the 1948 presidential election campaign.

It focuses on two decisions President Truman made during the campaign: the decision to recognize the new state of Israel and the decision to desegregate the nation's military. This theater program features an interactive voting component that allows you to express your opinion.
