The Harry S. Truman
Library is one of ten Presidential libraries administered by the National
Archives and Records Administration and houses more than 14 million
pages of documents, including President Truman's own papers relating to
his life and Presidency. Its research room is open from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45
p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Truman Library
is located at U.S. Highway 24 and Delaware in Independence, Mo. Regular
museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, with extended hours
Thursday evenings until 9 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4.50 for seniors
and $3 for children ages 6-18. Truman Library Institute members and children
5 and under are admitted free. For information on exhibits and displays
