Description
Paul W. Tibbets, Jr., the pilot of the Enola Gay, the airplane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, speaks at the Harry S. Truman Library. He (center) is addressing the crowd at the Harry S. Truman Appreciation Society program. Later he attended a book signing in the museum. Representatives of Whiteman Air Force Base are in the background, as are members of the American Legion Band, who performed earlier. Donor: Ed Ireland.
