Grandview Homes of Martha Ellen and Mary Jane Truman

 

1003 High Grove Road

Truman's mother and sister moved to a two-story house at 1003 High Grove Road in 1940 when the loan on their farm was foreclosed.

 

 

604 (now 602) High Grove Road

In about 1945, Martha Ellen broke her hip. Shortly after she got out of the hospital, she and Mary Jane moved to a one-story house at 604 High Grove Road. Martha Ellen died in 1947.

 

13106 13th Street

In 1955, Mary Jane moved to 13106 13th Street, apparently to be closer to a good friend. Truman visited his mother and sister often at their Grandview homes.
