Today was a busy day of meetings for the President. At 10:00 a.m., he met with the Ambassador of Chile. At 10:15, he met with the chairman of the Federal Reserve System.

At 10:30, he had a very important meeting with Sir Oliver Franks. This meeting was set up by the Prime Minister of Britain. The meeting focused on the Palestine issue. A few days before, the Israelis shot down five British planes.

At 11:00, the president met with the March of Dimes poster girl and her family. He then met with people from Western Union Telegraph CO. At 11:30, he met with the editor of the New York Times. At 11:45, he met with a delegate from Hawaii.

At 12:00, he met with Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. Then, at 12:30, he met with Honorable Robert Lovett, the Under Secretary of State. Truman had his lunch at 1:00. At 3:15, he had a meeting with the Secretary of the Navy. He had a Press Conference at 4:00. At the Press Conference Truman discussed the Palestine situation, the cabinet , and the size of the Air Force.
