The president met with his staff at 10:00. At 11:00, he met with Colonel Louis Johnson, Colonel Monroe Johnson, General Vaughan, and Colonel Ranfrow. At 11:00, he met with senator Robert Kerr from Oklahoma. He had his lunch at 1:00.

He only had one meeting in the afternoon. He met with Leslie Biffle at 3:15. At 9:15, the President and Mrs. Truman attended the Missouri State Society Reception at the Shoreham Hotel.
