President Truman met with General Dwight D. Eisenhower at 10:30. At 11:00, he met with the Ambassador of Cuba. At 11:30, the President received the Colgare University Washington Study Group. This group would come to Washington during the fall semester every year to study political science.

At 11:45, he met with Mr. John A. Kennedy, Editor and Publisher of the San Diego Journal. At 12:00, he met with the Ambassador to Great Britain. At 12:15, he met with the assistant Secretary of Labor. At 12:45, he met with the secretary of State. At 1:00, he had his lunch.

In the afternoon, he had three short meetings. At 5:00, the President and Mrs. Truman entertained the Chiefs of Mission and their guests at the Blair House.
