At 10:00 a.m., the president had a staff meeting. At 11:00 a.m., he had a meeting with the Vice President, Senator Ron Cornally, Senator Arthur H. Vandebury (Mich.), The Secretary of State, Congressman Sol Bloom (New York), and Congressman Charles A. Eaton (New Jersey). At 11:30 a.m., he had a meeting with the Secretary of the Treasury. At 12:00 p.m., Congressman George P. Hiller (Cal.) and congressman James H. Horrison (La.) met with the president. Lastly, at Elair House for Statler to attend Radio Correspondents dinner.
