Today was mostly based around the bill extending the Institute of Inter-American Affairs.

When 11:45 rolled around Truman met with Brig. General Gordon Young, the D.C. Engineer Commissioner. This meeting was arranged by Gen. Vaughan. Then about 12:00 pm Truman met with the Postmaster General Jesse M. Donaldson. Next He was off to his usual Monday meeting with the Secretary of State. Then he went to the Cabinet Luncheon to discuss Agriculture and Commerce. Next following that he met with the Secretary of Labor Galvin (off-the-record).

After that at 3:30 he met with the former Secretary of the Interior to talk about the Forestry situation in Wyoming. Then at the end of his day at 3:45 pm he talked with Kenneth Royal and Wm. H. Draper, Jr. by the end of the call Draper resigned.
