Today Truman started off by meeting with the Secretary of Defense at 10:00am, and then with the Secretary of the Treasury at 10:15am. Next he meet with Dr. H. Roe Bartle, of Kansas City to discuss the Scout matters (Mr. Bartle donnected with Boy Scouts of Kansas City). Then at 12:30pm Truman met with H.E. Senor Dr. Gonsalo Carnevali, Ambassador of Venesuela who is retiring and wanted to say goodbye. Next Truman went to attend a reseption in the Presidential Ballroom for all visitors from outside Washington attending Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner.
