President Truman spends the morning at home. He spent all afternoon talking to Charlie Ross. Ross was asked if he wanted to go on a trip with the President, but he declined. Later Oscar Ewing and General Vaughan visited with him. They left with them and rode to Union Station to see the President and his party off through Illinois to Akron, Ohio.
