Truman continued his campaign in Cincinnati, Ohio and gave his speech at 8:35 a.m. Like many of his speeches, this one primarily centered around Republicans in the 80th Congress. He first mentions the Taft-Hartley bill which was created to weaken labor unions. He also pointed out that under Republican leadership, Senators refused to give federal funds to education. On October the 11th, 1948 Harry S. Truman gave a speech in Cincinnati, Ohio at 8:35 a.m. He spoke of many things, including his views on Social Security, national health programs, welfare and the Republican Party. Also that day, Truman went on to give a speech in Hamilton, Ohio. He boasted about the Democratic Party and further cut down the Republican Party.
