The President began the day by making a transcription of the Cabinet Room for the Department of State.

At 10:00 am the President met with Colonel Louis Johnson. Following this meeting, the President met with Governor Ernest W. Gibson at 10:15.

At 10:30 the President met with the Honorable Caskie Collet. The President met with Mr. J. A. Fisher, President, Utility Workers of America, Mr. Joseph Lawerence, Democratic National Committee, and Mr. William J. Pachler.

Fifteen minutes later the President met with W. E. Rivers of Minor Teachers College, chairman, Executive Committee, National Championships, W. Spurgeon Burke, General Secretary of National Championships, Alcie Coachmean, Albany State College, Mell Jackson, the Tuskegee Institute, Theress Manual, the Tuskegee Institute, Audrey Patterson, Tennessee State College, Mable Walker, the Tuskegee Institute, Mrs. Jesse Abbot, Mrs. Anna Evans, Dr. Edward Henderson, Coach Rhoulac and Harry Riley. The meeting discussed and annual football game between two black colleges to raise money for the United Negro College Fund.

At 11:30am the President met with Mrs. India Edwards. Following this meeting the President had lunch.

At 2:45 Mr. Truman went to the Projection Room to view "The Truman Story."

At 3:00 p.m. the President met with Mr. K.C. Faris.

Five minutes later, the President met with Judge Walburn Mayock. The President left Washington by train at 11:55 p.m.
