Early in the morning, President Truman went to Walter Reed Hospital to have a chest X-ray. Then he had breakfast at 8 am. After breakfast, the President walked to the beach with Miss Truman (Margaret). At noon, the President held a press conference at the north garden. Among the members attending were Governor Wallgren, Secretary Symington, Miss Truman and Admiral Leahy. Afterward, the President and Miss Truman posed for pictures.

At 1:00 p.m., President Truman had lunch with Secretary Symington. After lunch, he rested until 4:00 p.m. Mrs. Truman and their daughter went shopping in Key West accompanied by two secret service agents.

After their 7 p.m. dinner, the President, Mrs. Truman and Miss Truman went to see the motion picture "The Three Musketeers."

Mrs. and Miss Truman retired to their quarters aboard the WILLIAMSBURG at 11:45. The President retired at midnight.
