President Truman had several appointments that he attended this day.

At 9:45, Mr.Truman met with the Secretary of State, Henry A. Wallace. Later, he met up with Honorable Herbert R. O'Conor, senator from Maryland, to talk about a senate committee report. Around 11:15, Mr. Truman had an appointment with Honorable Paul Hersog, chairman of NIRB, to discuss new labor legislation. At 11:30, the President met with Mr.Irving Pfalaum, an editor for the Chicago Sun Times. Mr. Albert Goss of Master National Grange met the President at 12:45. Lunch was served at 1:00.

The President left the White House at 4:10 p.m. for the Shoreham Hotel, where he said a few words at the 4th annual conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization Finally, the President attended the F.A.O.reception in the Torrance Banquet Room at the Shoreham.
