At 9:45 a.m., President Truman met with Mr. Dol Ankers, a photographer who works with C.P. Jennewin, a sculpture. Jennewin has been designated to design a medal for the inauguration. Soon after, he had a cabinet meeting.

Between 11:00 - 12:45, the President met with a different official every 15 minutes. At 1:00, he had a two hour luncheon. After lunch, he met with James E. Webb, Director of the Budget, Charles Ross, secretary of the Army, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Steward and their daughter. In the early evening, the President met with the Honorable Joseph Davies at the Blair House.
