On this Monday, President Truman had a very busy day. Between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., Truman met with fifteen people, including Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Reserve Forces, United States Air Force Lt. General Edward Quesada. At 11:15 a.m., the President met with Mr. Clyde T. Ellis, the Executive Manager of National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. They discussed a new plan with the United States ambassador to Egypt.

At 12:30 p.m., he met with the Secretary of State. Then, Truman attended a Cabinet Luncheon. He met again with the Honorable Arthur Hall. The Secretary of the Navy also attended this meeting. All of this happened in six and a half hours.
