11:30 a.m.: President Truman met with Clarence Magee of Portsmouth, Va. President Truman thanked him for his strong support and help in running a spirited campaign in Norfolk County.

11:40 a.m.: President Truman met with Signor Alberto Tarchiard, Ambassador from Italy. They discussed a message from Prime Minister de Gasparia concerning what the U.S. position was on the Italian Colonies.

4:00 p.m.: President Truman met with Secretary of Defense and Donald Carpenter.
