Truman had a series of meetings but took time to personally take his daughter to the train at 11:45 in the morning. He made reference to this in a letter sent to Bess on the 11th.

Friday evening:

Truman was aboard the USS Williamsburg for a weekend cruise with the following staff members: Clark Clifford, Charles Ross, John Steelman, Matthew Connelly, David Noyes, Albert Carr, Captain Dennison, General Harry Vaughan, Colonel Robert Landry, General Wallace Graham, Jack Romagna
