Presidential Candidate Harry S. Truman is speaking to the people of Utah. During this speech he talked about our ancestors in 1787 who wrote the US. Constitution. That they were wise but also practical men, who understood human emotions and human desires.

The reason he mentioned this is, because he believes our government is the greatest of all time that any human has written. He also states God Almighty had made it that way. He also mentioned how the United States refused to help Europe after Word War I and we fell into the Great Depression. He said we needed to take on world leadership and help whoever needs it.

This speech was to inform the people about our government and the differences between the two parties of government.
