Read a Memorandum, dated September 9, 1948, by Donald S. Dawson, Administrative Assistant, to President Harry S. Truman regarding public and military reaction to Truman's Executive Order to desegregate the Armed Forces.

Read a Memorandum for Mr. Bendetsen, dated September 9, 1949, by Worthington Thompson(2 pages) stating his views on the Army's implementation of the desegregation executive order. These are really similar but not exact copies.
