Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum

The Kukri ceremonial sword from Nepal was presented to President Truman by the prime minister of Nepal on July 30, 1946.

The crossbow came from Carnicobar, a small island in the Bay of Bengal off the coast of Burma. The Mah or chief of the Nicobarese sent the crossbow and other gifts to the president.

A Danish stone axe, unearthed by archeologists, was believed to be used by Vikings along the coast of Denmark 45,000 years ago. The axe was a gift from a delegation of Danish press representatives in September of 1949.
