FEATURED CLASS FOR FEBRUARY 8 -- FEBRUARY 21:

Mr. Wayne Ball's Classes,
Algebra and Geometry
Blue Springs High School
Blue Springs, Missouri

Wayne Ball is a Project WhistleStop cadre teacher. He instructs students in mathematics, mainly Algebra and Geometry, at Blue Springs High School, Blue Springs, Missouri. His interest in the project stemmed from the grant's focus on project based learning and technology. Both of these concepts have transformed his teaching. He has incorporated a project based system of teaching geometry and algebra which promotes in-depth thinking and understanding of the process. This new focus supports our state's Show Me Standards emphasizing problem solving, communication, research, and decision making. Wayne can be reached at: wball.bshs@bssd1.bssd.k12.mo.us

For this 50 Years Ago Today Project, Wayne asked for student volunteers from his math classes to research and design the two week project.

Nick Escott--Algebra 2 and Sam Burns--Geometry accepted the challenge. Nick is responsible for Feb 8-19. Sam is responsible for the remainder.
