Self-Discipline

When Harry S Truman was a little boy, he would get up at 5:00 A.M. to practice the piano for two whole hours.

Click on Harry Truman the piano player to read more about Truman and his early childhood and playing the piano.

Truman also showed self-discipline while keeping up the 600 acre Grandview farm. He did everything from feeding the hogs to doctoring the horses to bailing hay.

See how the farm life contributed to Harry S Truman's leadership qualities.
