Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography

Once, President Truman was asked to recommend ten books for children to read. Among those listed was Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography.

Franklin was often quoted as writing, "If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth the reading, or do things worth the writing."

Harry S. Truman did both.
