[Log of President Truman's Trip: Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Key West, Florida]
The President arrived at Guantanamo Harbor at 1:40
p.m. aboard the USS WILLIAMSBURG. He anchored at
the Officers' Club Landing and with his official
party went ashore. Upon arrival, the President
was greeted by Captain Battle and honors were
rendered. Thereafter, the President inspected the
Marine Honor Guard. Following this the President
and Party motored to the Officers' Club for
luncheon. There were about 40 guests present.

About 3:15 p.m. the President and Party were con-
ducted on a motor tour of the base. This tour
ended at the Naval Air Station where the President
and Party took an army plane for the return trip
to Key West, Florida. They were airborn at 3:45
p.m. and arrived at Key West Naval Air Base (Boca
Chica) at 6:30 p.m. Upon arriving, the
President held an informal Press Conference at
the airfield before returning to the Little White
House.

The President then motored to the Little White
House and he and his Party retired for the evening.
