Reel 1

0:00   Recording begins with miscellaneous excerpts of 1948 campaign remarks of Harry S. Truman, interspersed with Strom Thurman excerpts, and a man supporting Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, possibly Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr.
1:03   Mr. Truman’s voice: "I’m coming out here so you can look at me and hear what I have to say, and make up your own mind about some of the things being said about your President."
1:20   Mr. Truman says: "It makes no difference what they say about you if it isn’t so . . . if they can prove it on you, you’re in a bad fix indeed . . . they’ve never been able to prove it on me."
