Shot List

  • Reel 1
0:00   Judge Albert Ridge, friend of Harry S. Truman from serving in Battery D with him, is seated at a desk. He is speaking, and the footage begins silent. This clip is mostly silent with occasional matching segments of sound.
2:20   The sound comes on at this point, and Judge Ridge is talking about Battery D, how no officer wanted to take charge, but Harry S. Truman was assigned. After the "shirt tail brigade" (see MP2002-322) and Captain John Thacher and said his farewell to the Battery . . .
3:04   Silent footage again.
3:52   Sound begins. Judge Ridge is saying "you just try to castigate us on Army morale principal."
Then silent footage begins back and forth, short clips of sound and silent footage for remainder of film clip with none long enough for a complete sentence.
