0:22   Harry S. Truman discusses how the chiefs of staff had to plan (invasion of Japan) without the atomic bomb. He states they estimated it would require 750,000 American boys, 250,000 would be killed, 500,000 maimed. We didn't have enough men in the Pacific to handle it, we would have to bring some from Europe and Europe was giving us all kinds of trouble.
