| 0:00 | Ernest A. Gross states that the U. S. assumed the North Korean invasion had been "push-buttoned" from Moscow. He discusses the frustrating sessions when the Russian delegate Jacob Malik was present. He comments that he believes nothing was accomplished by these sessions. He believes the public didn't realize that the U.N. was in action in the field. It is Mr. Gross's opinion that these frustrating sessions were bad for the morale of the U.N., yet the majority was in favor of conducting these meetings. Meanwhile the General Assembly was making important decisions including the economic sanctions against Red China. | |
