BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Patrick Henry Gallen was born on May 19, 1909 in Kansas City, Missouri. He served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II. He was a realtor in Kansas City, Missouri for most of his life, and he also worked for the War Assets Administration. Gallen was an acquaintance of President Truman. He died on November 20, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

This collection includes letters received by Patrick H. Gallen from President Truman or members of the White House staff, in response to letters and gifts sent by Gallen to the President. Also included are Gallen's death certificate, a paystub, a photograph, and a newsletter with a notice of his death.

Also in the collection are a few other letters and two typewritten introductions to radio programs on traffic safety.

This collection consists of copies of original documents that were retained by the donor.
