COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

This collection includes correspondence from Senator Harry S. Truman to members of the Salsbury family, dating from 1935 to 1940. Also included is correspondence from Harry J. Salsbury, Jr. to his wife, Thelma, describing events in the 1940 Senate campaign, and an invitation to a campaign reception honoring Truman in Sedalia, Missouri.

There are letters in the collection from Truman to Salsbury’s father, Harry J. Salsbury, Sr., and to his brother, Vaughn Salsbury.
