COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

The Papers of Wilbur D. Sparks consist of a scrapbook of press clippings that pertain to the time he spent as an attorney investigator for the Truman Committee during World War II. Each press clipping has been labeled with the date and the name of the publication in which it appeared. The majority of these clippings discuss the various investigations that the Truman Committee was pursuing at that time, with a focus on fraud and mismanagement in the national defense program.

The Truman Library also has an online oral history interview with Wilbur D. Sparks, as well as (speeches, statements, press releases, and transcripts relating to the Truman Committee Record Group 46).
