Newsreel compilation of coverage of the Truman Doctrine speech of March 12, 1947 in which President Truman proposes aid to Greece and Turkey. Scenes of Greece and background information are shown along with excerpts of Truman's speech. President Truman's trip to Mexico is also covered. Newsreels are generally copyrighted by their respective producers, with the exception of the "Mexico Greets Truman" Universal Newsreel, which is in the public domain.
