0:40   History of Independence, Missouri and the western movement of the nation, the visual presentation is all still photographs of portions of the mural that is in the lobby of the Harry S. Truman Library and Thomas Hart Benton in his studio.
4:45   Mr. Benton describes the mural – that it was a generalized, idealized presentation. Then he describes each segment of the mural illustrating history, using the mural as visual presentation. This filmed slide show was shown in the Truman Library museum at times, and uses segments of Thomas Hart Benton’s oral history to describe the mural.
