Matthew Connelly, President Harry S. Truman's Appointment Secretary, reaches down into the crowd to shake hands with people from the back of the campaign train in Clinton, Massachusetts. He accompanied President Truman during his campaign stops for Adlai Stevenson and John Sparkman. All others are unidentified. From the scrapbooks of Matt Connelly, volume 8.
